Brian Roettinger
The work of designer and artist Brian Roettinger is an uncanny union of punk ideology with a conceptually driven mode of modernist design. Celebrated for his distinct method of creating visual language and using a holistic approach to strategy and problem solving. He frequently employs architectural strategies such as repetition and structure, while subverting the sense of order by manipulating the traditional production process in unexpected or interruptive ways; think pulling the sheet out of the printer before the printing is done. In 2018, Roettinger merged his studio with collaborator Willo Perron, under the now moniker Perron–Roettinger. Together they work in the sphere of interiors, identity, branding, and creative direction with brands such as Cartier, Chanel, SKKN, and Ghia. In 2023, Roettinger was an artist in resident at La Becque and a visiting instructor at the ECAL in Lausanne Switzerland.
